1 in 4 of all local authorities are using Just Checking for assessment and care planning.
Birmingham City Council has made it a policy that there will be no admission to residential care without a period of assessment using the Just Checking system.
Staffordshire County Council has equipped each of its teams with Just Checking, to check that the level of intermediate care support is correct, and to gauge the effect of gradually reducing support as the service user regains independence. You can watch a video of this here.
Bath & North East Somerset Council has covered the entire cost of 10 Just Checking systems with just two of their cases.
Just Checking Professional
Used for assessment, Just Checking Professional is designed to be moved between service users. It is quick and simple to install by any member of a social care or community mental health team. Some teams are using a system with 8 or 9 service users in a year.
