Exit Text Alerts
The Just Checking system can be configured to send a text alert to a mobile phone if a person leaves the house at an unexpected time. It is designed to alert a family carer, or nearby staff so that they can respond. The system is completely independent of a social alarm control centre.
This facility is useful where there are family members or staff (eg in extra care or sheltered housing schemes) within easy reach of the service user.
How it works
If an external door is opened and there is no further movement inside the house, the system will assume that the person has gone out. It will generate a text alert to a pre-defined mobile phone number.
Configurable parameters are:
- the times that the text alert should operate (typically during night hours)
- the time delay before the text alert is sent, in case the person returns
- the mobile phone number that the text is sent to.
Prices
For most applications, the Text Alert 250 service covering up to 250 texts a year will be sufficient. If you exceed this average in any quarter, Just Checking will notify you and switch you to the higher tariff.
You can see the the tariffs and the prices for each here.
